Let's Return to Hawks Landing.
Dark Currents was an "Occult Soap Opera" that aired on Public Access Cable Stations in the 1990s.
Inspired by television shows like Twin Peaks and Dark Shadows. DC was the story of mysterious small town in Northern Maine. The town, Hawks Landing was a magnet for all things weird. Kind of Bermuda Triangle located between Bangor, Houlton and Millinocket.
The first storyline introduced the main characters (All played local residents, mostly friends and family of the creators) and established the quest of the program. A solid gold boulder located somewhere on the Mattahoc River.
To celebrate the upcoming 20th Anniversy of Dark Currents, we have brought the old website out of retirement. The plan is fill it with as much information, pictures and stories of Dark Currents. We may even try to put up some long lost footage and/or deleted scenes.
